Salary range: £37,261 – £40,478 per annum (Grade 11) with progression to £41,496 – £44,539 per annum (Grade 12)

Hours per week: Role 1: 37 hours – Health Improvement Practitioner – Partnerships and inequalities
Role 2: 37 hours – Health Improvement Practitioner – Start Well
Contract type: Temporary for 12 months

About the Job
You will proactively collaborate with service suppliers and nrtwork partners to make sure that the requirements of the people are satisfied.
Candidates should be able to show their ability to collaborate with experts from various divisions and companies, as well as experience commissioning or performing health improvement projects.
The ideal candidates should be well disciplined, have strong communication skills, have project management expertise, and be able to operate amid pressure.
It would be beneficial to have prior experience working with NHS commissioners, local governments, and the non-profit industry.
Partnerships and Inequalities – This position will work on a variety of initiatives and plans designed to lessen health inequalities affecting Oxfordshire people.
The post holder will collaborate extensively with internal Council staff as well as external stakeholders to create good change and solid relationships.
Start Well – The job will oversee the Start Well work portfolio, which comprises school health nursing and health visiting, and it will be essential to the work of commissioning 0-19 Public Health services for kids and parents in Oxfordshire starting in April 2024.
As well, the job will promote collaborations and projects for public mental health.
The ideal applicant should possess:
- A solid foundation in public health concepts
- A thorough knowledge of local government and teamwork
- The ability to analyze data and communicate information
- The ability to meet deadlines and goals
Applicants for this dual-graded position have a clear path to the higher advanced grade.
Outstanding applicants who can show they already fulfil the requirements for grade promotion could be appointed at the higher grade.
